If your business is based in Burwood we can happily help you grow. The area is rich in history and was actually originally named Ballyshanassy after the homestead that was first settled in the area in the 1850’s until it changed names to Burwood in 1879 as we know it today. Even our very own office was established in this vicinity for several years, helping us develop into who we are today. Did you know that Burwood was originally home to the 1st drive-in movie theatre in Australia?
With plenty of shopping and restaurants to dine at, most of which are situated along the Burwood highway, the main thoroughfare through the suburb.
These include Burwood one Shopping centre, home to many retail businesses as well as one of Melbourne’s few 24hr shopping precincts with a Kmart and Coles often open around the clock. Also now more recently established, the Brickworks estate shopping complex with rooftop dining at one of the largest urban agricultural projects in Australia, at the restaurant “Acre”.
There’s always plenty to do, with ample parks including Gardiners Creek Reserve with it bicycle and pedestrian path, which winds its way around Deakin University and through the suburb, or Wattle Park with it’s vintage trams playground as well as a 9 hole golf course.
